In our life there will be some strange places and people, that we cant forget. In my life there are few places which made me to do some odd things, which I have never thought of doing. So let me start from the year 2008. The first place I am picking is Haridwar !
Haridwar:
I have been there twice, the first time as a student, we were on a trip from college, and were travelling with very very little money, I was having 1500/- Rs, Most of our trips were on cheapest mean and most of the stays were arranged by a friends at their home. we were 5 members each from different states, Chetan (Gujarat), Kumud (Uttaranchal), Sanjay (Maharashtra), Sonkar (Chatisgarh), and me (Kerala). The First time it was a fun with friends, we rented a room in an Ashram for 30 Rs and all of us slept on the floor, the room space was just enough, as it was cold out side it was so comfortable to sleep tight.
The second time I was there to attend an Interview, This was one of the horrible time I ever had in life. A friend arranged this interview. I reached early in the morning, on the same day the interview was. I reached this company 08:00 AM, there were three of us. The HR asked me to wait for some time, that some time turned out to be 12 Hrs, They conducted my Interview 10:00 PM. I was sick sad and frustrated. They did n't even ask us for lunch, around lunch time I went to this HR cabin, He asked me to wait for some more time. I was in a need for job, So I didn't think about walking away. 10:00 PM some manager had interview, he selected me. I replied him "NO THANK YOU, I Need some food and we three are sitting there since morning" Next day morning I left for Goa, there I stayed few months and recovered.
Mumbai:
I was there in Mumbai for more than an year, I love Mumbai, Even though most of my Mumbai life was inside the walls (Not in a real Jail but a psychological one). So From GOA I moved to Kerala. Without a job you can survive anywhere in the world but not in your home town. So the same happened with me too, I got tortured for my joblessness. Then one fine day I got a Mad Idea of going somewhere to search a job. My choice was Delhi, I called a friend there and booked my tickets.
A day before my Delhi trip, A call, from Mumbai, Got a job !!! Delhi cancelled Mumbai was on !! I reached Mumbai on the day of Interview-26.11.2008. I turned Hopeless, Bloody "Kasab and Friends" they were attacking. I called the manager there and told him about the situation. They postponed the interview and I joined the company.
I was a loner in Mumbai (Still I am not different), but I loved watching people. I used to travel for 2 Hrs daily on "Mumbai Local". My food came from some road side shop, those Chapattis they were so tasty. On Sundays I walked through the streets, watching everything around, looking for second hand books to read. I was not a reader, but somehow I started loving books. I think this lonely walks and the books I read, changed me a lot. Some time in between, I got a call from Delhi, Another Interview.
Delhi:
As this call was in short notice, I wasn't having a proper ticket, I booked an ordinary ticket, paid some money as fine, Most of my travels were like this. I wasn't having a seat and birth to sleep, I was having news papers to spread on floor for my night journey. But the thing is where to sleep ? I wasn't ready to sleep near the toilets (After all I am a post graduate with professional degree). At last I got a Muslim family they were travelling to Delhi and they allowed me to sleep on the passage of their coupe. They were nice, still remembering those faces.
Next day morning, I was on a bus to Gurgaon, Bus was fully packed and one fellow tried to pickpocket, I stared at him he moved back. After all these hurdles, I attended interview and It was a disaster, all others applicants were Phd holders and they were talking some -bull XXXX- that I don't understand. I returned to Nizamudin Station, whole night strolled here and there. (I didn't want to spend money on Hotels), Bought a book (Three Mistakes of My life - Chetan Baghat). Morning, returned to Mumbai.
GOA:
After working for 7 months in Mumbai, I got a job in Goa. Its a fantastic place to live. Rain, Sea, Coconut tree and Fish.. Fabulous. I was there for almost an year, People they were lovely. I took a room at Panaji with a friend (Justin was from the same college where I did my PG).
I joined central Library there, started reading again. Bought my first Camera, a Nikon L110. Every week end there will be a trip or a special food from Justin.
Now I am here In Hyderabad, thinking and missing all these places and writing this, I am feeling like deleting all these which I have written.
